National Alzheimer’s Project Act (NAPA) a Major Victory

Passage of the National Alzheimer’s Project Act (NAPA) is a major victory for those current and future individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I’m thrilled and just want to say thanks to Congress and President Obama. The passage of this legislation will “create a national strategic plan to address and overcome the rapidly escalating crisis of Alzheimer’s.” And it certainly is a crisis estimated to be of epidemic proportions within the next forty years. Because this disease will forever remain a part of my life and family, I’m thrilled with this latest news and look forward to the day when the mere mention of Alzheimer’s disease will no longer strike fear into the hearts and minds of people worldwide. Let’s get moving, there is no time to waste!
