No Conflict to Settle with Bullying

There’s been a lot of news lately about bullying, and I just read another article in the local newspaper this morning that clarified the awful problem for me. It’s so simple, but so revealing of how horrible bullying can be for those who are subjected to it.

Espelage said the difference between bullying and “normal conflict” is that there is no conflict when it comes to bullying.

Espelage is an expert on bullying after studying it in schools for the last seventeen years. With bullying there is indeed no conflict, no rational explanation for someone to be angry and attack someone else. For that reason it is difficult to solve the problem or offer a logical solution. Read the State Journal-Register article for more information. I’m with Dorothy Espelage, I just want the bullying to stop too.
