New year’s resolutions revisited

It’s that time of year again; time to think about new year’s resolutions and reflect on the year that has passed. This time last year I decided I wanted to

read more books

instead of obsessing over writing and publishing one.

I’ve pulled the stats from Goodreads (a great way to keep track) and am happy to report I’ve been successful with many of my new year’s resolutions from last year. Concerning reading, I finished 67% more books than in the previous year, increasing from 12 measly books in 2014 to 20 in 2015. I must admit I fell short of doubling to 24 books, what I was shooting for by the end of the year. Take a look at the great books I finished in 2015 below.

Moving on to 2016, I hope to continue trending up and exceed that 24 book goal. I have a few other things to accomplish that will make this goal a challenge, but I’m committed to trying it now that I’ve got better reading habits in place.

Happy New Year to all in 2016. I predict it’s going to be a great year!  What about you? Do you have a new year’s resolution in mind yet?
